I'm a gadget freak, so my motivation is from a Garmin Forerunner 305. Being able to get home after a run, plog the 305 in a cradle and then see how much I stuck to my workout or how much above or below my last pace I was is awesome. Might be worth looking in to if you need that extra bit of motivation. ;)

Hey Mur, I’ve been restarting running as well… I’m a gadget freak, so my motivation is from a Garmin Forerunner 305. I ended up getting an iTouch for my birthday. And then I found out about the Nike+ integration (www.nikeplus.com) so actually went out and bought a pair of nike shoes and the sensor. so now that i've got all this time and money invested I'd better use it!I'm still playing around with it, the sensor is pretty much a pedometer that links to the iTouch wifi, but it seems like it's pretty accurate.
