Princess Scientist's Book Club #5 – City of Gold and Lead, Harry Potter, Nanovor
Hello all you book club members! Princess Scientist is back with a flourish (literally) and wishes to talk about The City of Gold and Lead (spoiler alert) and Harry Potter. (We also plug Mom’s new mid-grade book, Nanovor: Hacked!, which Princess Scientist says is great and she’s not just saying that cause Mom is right there.) We mention future inventions and the more recent science fair. And we have an email address now! princess DOT scientist AT gmail DOT com.
What we’re reading now:
- With Dad: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang by Ian Fleming.
- With Mom: The Pool of Fire by John Christopher.

The Pool of Fire… I think that was the first science fiction I ever brought home from the library, I didn’t get through it because the plot was above my grade level, but I think the very thought of me bringing it home from the library told my mom what portion of her tastes in juvenile literature would keep me reading literature (instead of juvenile science books… which somehow wasn’t good enough)
